Who We Are
Backup Power, Panel Upgrades & EV Charging
We started in Santa Clarita in 2007 — a small crew with a belief that homeowners deserve clear, honest explanations of their electrical systems, not a quote they can't parse followed by a high-pressure decision. Eighteen years and a second valley later, we still operate exactly that way.
How the company came to be.
Santa Clarita
Santa Clarita was growing fast in 2007 — new subdivisions in Canyon Country, older Newhall neighborhoods being updated, families finding homes with panels that hadn't been touched in twenty years. Founded that year by Harry Muradyan, American Electric Co did the work that was actually needed: panel upgrades for modern loads, generator installations before most homeowners knew the term PSPS. We pulled every permit, coordinated every inspection, and explained what we found in plain language. The license — CSLB #938027 — has been the same, active and unsuspended, ever since.
Two valleys
The San Fernando Valley told the same story as Santa Clarita, compressed into denser neighborhoods — 1960s and '70s homes on panels never meant to run a heat pump, two home offices, and an EV charger at once. So we opened Valley Glen: same license, same manufacturer authorizations, a dedicated team built for LADWP territory and SFV housing stock. Two offices now, hundreds of generators installed, and the same inside-out approach we brought to Santa Clarita.
The approach hasn't changed since 2007.
An explanation before a quote
Every project starts with a walk-through, not a number. We explain your panel, your load, and your options in plain English — then you decide what happens next.
Plain language, always
Panels, transfer switches, load calcs — we explain them in words you can repeat to your family. No jargon walls, no pressure to decide on the spot.
Safety is the baseline
It isn't a feature we sell. Every installation is permitted, every permit pulled before work begins, and if something isn't to code, we tell you up front.
Permits handled for you
We pull every permit and coordinate every utility inspection on your behalf — the same approach in Valley Glen today as in Santa Clarita in 2007.
Licensed, bonded, and accountable.
"Licensed and insured" is a phrase every contractor uses. Here's exactly what ours is — verifiable, and the same across both locations. We dispatch from two offices: Santa Clarita and Valley Glen.
