Five technologies, five vendors
Solar, storage, EV charging, generators, and panels are each a separate technology — and most contractors handle only one or two. The homeowner is left coordinating installers who don't talk to each other.
Solar, battery storage, EV charging, backup generators, and the panel that ties them together — designed and installed as one integrated system, not five disconnected ones. CSLB #938027, bonded and insured.
Solar, storage, EV charging, generators, and panels are each a separate technology — and most contractors handle only one or two. The homeowner is left coordinating installers who don't talk to each other.
Most solar installers don't know how to design an island-mode system that works safely with a generator. A battery has to be sized against generator runtime and your home's critical load. Get the integration wrong and the pieces fight each other during an outage.
The panel is the hub — everything connects through it. None of this works well on an overcrowded, underpowered panel, no matter how good the equipment hanging off it is.
We handle the full picture. We start with your current system, your usage patterns, and your priorities — backup power during outages, reduced utility bills, EV charging, renewable generation, or some combination. We assess your panel, discuss the technology options with honest financial context (including NEM 3.0 implications), and design a phased or integrated approach depending on your budget and timeline. We don't sell equipment. We're equipment-agnostic on most of this — we specify based on what's right for the installation and the customer, not on brand relationships. Our exception is generators, where manufacturer authorization matters for warranty and service. Since 2007 we've been building this cross-system expertise deliberately, because we understand how these systems interact.
Solar photovoltaic systems generate electricity from sunlight and connect to the home's panel. They feed the home first; excess production goes to the grid (under NEM 3.0, at reduced export rates). Without storage, solar provides no backup during an outage.
Energy storage stores power from solar production or from the grid during off-peak periods. During an outage it can power essential or whole-home circuits for hours, depending on capacity. Combined with solar, a properly designed ESS can extend coverage through days of outages without running a combustion generator.
Standby generators provide long-duration backup independent of weather and battery state of charge. They run on natural gas or propane, restart on demand, and are most valuable for extended outages — multi-day PSPS events, prolonged grid failures. Installed with automatic transfer switches.
EV charging adds load to the home's electrical system; for homes with solar, smart load management can charge the EV from daytime solar rather than the grid at peak rates. Panel upgrades and subpanels are the foundation everything else connects through.
We review your current system, your usage patterns, and your priorities — backup power, lower bills, EV charging, renewable generation, or some combination. We assess your panel and talk through honest trade-offs. No pressure.
A design that accounts for how the pieces interact — generator and solar inverter conflicts during an outage, battery sized against generator runtime and your critical load. You see the technology options with honest financial context, including NEM 3.0 implications.
SCE and LADWP each have specific interconnection application processes for solar and battery storage. We coordinate the application, manage the utility timeline, and handle the documentation for net metering enrollment or storage incentive programs.
We install to your budget and timeline — all at once, or sequenced so today's work doesn't box in tomorrow's. We design the integration so solar, storage, generator, and EV charging work together safely, not against each other.
We stay your electricians across every system you add. Because we work across the full spectrum, you have one contractor who understands how the whole thing fits together — not five who each know one piece.
